How does it work?
Friends or small groups
Our escape games are an exciting, interactive adventure for groups or teams who must work together against the clock, solving puzzles, finding clues and cracking codes to complete challenges in a themed room or outdoor setting.
Corporate or larger groups
We also cater for larger groups too. Escape Kent is the perfect activity for businesses wanting an unusual team building exercise, or as a company reward for good performance. Whatever the group size we can cater to your needs.
Are you organising a corporate event, team building or just have a large party to cater for? Then Escape Kent is the place for you. We can cater for all group sizes and offer great corporate rates. To find out more about our corporate events and rates, please click below.
Not only do we have a traditional escape room format, we also offer an exciting new outdoor experience too. Click on a game category below to find out more.
Frequently asked questions
Q1. AM I REALLY LOCKED IN A ROOM WITH NO WAY OUT?
No. Whilst we aim to make the experience as authentic as possible, players can leave at any time via easilly accessible exit doors.
Q2. WILL I BE WITH OTHER TEAMS?
No. Your booking secures the whole room for you and your team. You will never be placed with other teams.
Q3. HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE?
The room itself lasts an hour. Please arrive 15 minutes early for a briefing period and introduction.
Q4. ARE MOBILE PHONES/CAMERAS PERMITTED IN THE ROOMS?
We request that you do not take these into the rooom as photos may spoil the experience for future users. Lockers are provided free of charge to store your valuables for the duration of the game, and we will take a free photo of you and your team after the game.
Q5. HOW MANY PLAYERS CAN I HAVE?
The minimum per room is 2, and the maximum is 8. If you have more players you are welcome to book multiple rooms and compete in a head to head competition.
Q6. IS THERE AN AGE RESTRICTION?
The minimum age is 10 years old. Groups must have at least one player over the age of 18 who is responsible for the group.
Q7. IS IT SUITABLE FOR THOSE WITH DISABILITIES?
Whilst we have made every effort to make the games accessible for everyone, parts of the puzzles include uneven ground and a small element of physical dexterity, meaning some may find them difficult to complete. Also, due to our building being very old we do not have a door wide enough for wheelchairs to fit through, and some elements of our games will be across multiple floors which are accessed via stairs.
Our Pirates Of The Stormy Seas game will require an extra level of physical activity and is therefore not recommended for those with disabilities or those who are pregnant.
Q8. HOW DO I GET TO YOU?
We are situated on the Wincheap Industrial Estate in Canterbury (CT1 3RA for your sat nav). The site is a 5 minute walk from Canterbury East train station. Click here for Google maps
Q9. DO YOU HAVE PARKING?
We have a very small amount of free parking on site. In the likely event that the car park is full, there is a public car park 100m away in Maynard Road (next to Iceland) which costs just 80p for 5 hours.
